PAISLEY PARTY 2008!!!!

Well, it finally came...September 18, 2008! Trent got me Brad Paisley tickets for my birthday. So, Thursday at 4:45 Leah and Robbie came over and we headed out for the fun. We stopped in Union City at Sonic for dinner. Then it was on to Lakewood. Our tickets were awaiting us at the will call window. We got there early and got a close parking place and headed on. This picture is Leah and I with cardboard Brad. :) Happy Birthday to ME!
Leah and I with the Brad Paisley Hershey trailer. We even got to sample some S'mores!
I managed to talk Trent into standing with me next to the Brad Paisley trailer. :)
Here are Leah and I at the front of the stage. We had seventh row seats! They were wonderful! I have never been that close before.
The opening act was:
He is known for his song, "Stealing Cinderella." That is a good song, but he hasn't had a hit since then. I am not sure he ever will either. He is still working on how to perform on stage, but he was okay.

Second Act
So Jewel was the second opening act. I'll just be honest, listening to her is complete torture! I kid you not, at the end of her performance she was yodeling. It was HORRIBLE!
She put on cowboy boots and really thought that would make her a country singer. NO WAY!
BRAD PAISLEY 2008
Here is the curtain before Brad Paisley made his grand entrance. If you'll notice, this left stage is only three rows in front of us!
My first glimpse of him for the night!
Okay, this is his violin player. He can play the violin VERY well. However, ever since I have liked Brad Paisley this guy has been part of the band. I think he is so nerdy. Well, at the concert they showed his high school picture...poor guy! I think he and Brad must have been nerds in high school together and vowed that if one of them made it big they would take the other along. (I am sure he is a very nice guy!)
Another of his band members

What a good looking guy!
Here he is about three rows away from me. It was very exciting!
This song Brad had several guest appearances on the screen. Trent wishes Taylor Swift had been there in person, like last year. (I actually wish the same thing. Last year's opening acts were MUCH better.)
This is Brad performing Trent's favorite song (Hey, Hey Mr. Policeman) from his latest album (Fifth Gear). FYI-His newest album comes out Tuesday, November 4th...election day. I shall choose the Paisley Party!

This goes along with his song "When I Get Where I'm Going." As he sings it, he shows pictures of people that have passed away. This was the final shot.

Brad playing his blue paisley guitar as a final good-bye.

As we were leaving the concert, we were able to meet Chuck Wicks. He seemed like a nice guy. This was my first "celebrity" encounter. Maybe someday he'll actually go somewhere, or maybe he will remain a one hit wonder. Either way, I got to shake his hand. Okay my videos both ended up at the bottom. You too may listen to Jewel whine, I mean sing. The Brad video is him singing "Wrapped Around." That was our song back when we were dating. Even though it is an older song, he has sung it at every concert I have been to. I think he sings it for Trent and I. Isn't he thoughtful? (It was a super present. I love you, Trent!)

What fun! And those were some awesome seats you had! What a great hubby you have. What you said about Jewel surprises me - I would have thought she would put on a good show!
